"Thanks" is a 17 hh sorrel overo, sired
by See Me Com En and out of a lovely Thoroughbred mare named Miss Oaks.
He is registered with the Jockey Club, the American Paint Horse Association,
and also has his Quarter
Horse T number. As a result, we are able to breed Paints, Quarter
Horses, and Thoroughbreds, without any snags with registration. We are
also offering a live color guarantee on all mares he stands to,
(including Quarter Horses). "Thanks" is OLWS negative, which means
that he can be bred to any mare without the worry of a lethal white foal.
He is a beautiful example of the hunter type: tall, sweepy,
deep-hocked, and fluid moving. He floats along with grace that you
wouldn't think possible from such a large horse. This quality of
movement was the key factor in his fourth place finish in the 3 Year Old
Hunter Under Saddle Challenge at the APHA World Show in 2003. Please
give us a call to request the full video of this spectacular performance, or
click on the links below to view some clips of his canter and trot. You
have to see it to believe it!

Thanks For Control
This year, MacGregor has made a big impression
on judges and competitors alike. MacGregor was foaled on our
farm in 2007 and sold to Margie Taylor as a weanling. In April,
Margie put him in training with the goal of Jim taking him to show in
the Southern Belle Invitation. Jim brought home two top five
placings and compliments from competitors.
Later in 2008, Margie showed MacGregor in the
NSBA Non-Pro Hunter Lunge Line at the Blue Ridge Quarter Horse
Association Futurity, and Jim showed him in the NSBA Open Hunter Lunge
Line. They were futurity champions in both classes.

Thanks For Play En
Congratulations to Sarah Meier for all her
success this year at the AQHA shows. She and George have accrued
points in Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle, Novice
Amateur Equitation, Amateur Showmanship and Amateur Horsemanship,
including a first place in Equitation at the AQHA Regional Experience
in Ohio out of a field of over 40 horses. This is especially
notable since Sarah has done the training herself.
This fall, look for Sarah and George at the
All American Quarter Horse Congress in Novice Amateur Hunter Under
Saddle, Novice Amateur Equitation, Amateur Horsemanship and Amateur
Showmanship. Next year, we hope to also see her showing George
at the major APHA events as well. |

Good Tim En Thanks
Becky McDaniel purchased Peyton
from the farm earlier this year. After taking him home, she
continued his training in Lunge Line. From the beginning she has
been impressed with Peyton's trainability and raw talent.
She also has had success in the
show ring, accruing points in Lunge Line as a hunt seat horse.
Becky also showed in the Blue Ridge Quarter Horse Association
futurity, and placed second right behind his brother and former
pasture-mate.
Continue to look for Becky and
Peyton this year and next as a two year old

Thanks For Zip En Me
UPDATE: Congratulations to Sharon and Randy
Miller and their trainer, Karen Bannister on their APHA Fall
Championship Top Ten!
At the 2007 NSBA World Show, Thanks had two
yearlings that showed in the yearling lunge line. Sharon and
Randy Miller decided to take both of their Thanks For Com En yearlings
to the show. After spending some time with Karen Bannister,
Sharon met up with Jim in Tulsa for the show. For the yearlings,
the job was easy, but Jim and Sharon spent a lot of long hours
prepping. It paid off when Sharon showed the gelding, Thanks For
Zip En Me in the Non-Pro Western Lunge Line and the Limited Non-Pro
Western Lunge Line, where she placed seventh in both. The
following day, Jim showed him again in the Open English Lunge Line and
placed sixth. Sharon showed her filly, Good Lucks A Com En, to
an eigth place. Thanks For Zip En Me also took top honors in the
High Plains Yearling Lunge Line Futurity. Great job Sharon and
Karen! Sharon has plans to show Winston
next year as a three year old at the big APHA events.
